Snap Thai Fish House Serving Sustainable Thai Seafood and Lobster Dishes Opens in February on Lenox Road in Buckhead

The partners behind Thai restaurant institution Bangkok Thai are opening Snap Thai Fish House at Modera Prominence on Lenox Road in February

Three longtime members of the Atlanta restaurant industry and Thai restaurant institution Bangkok Thai are opening a new Thai restaurant in Buckhead at the end of February focused on sustainable seafood.

Located at Modera Prominence on Lenox Road, the same complex as Lebanese restaurant Zakia, Snap Thai Fish House promises to be a "culinary journey to the coast of Thailand" with dishes featuring sustainably raised and wild-caught fish, cold water lobster, and oysters. Owners chef Pattie Lawlertratana, Jason Adjanasuknart, and Yai Siripetamorn were all born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand, and are partners in Bangkok Thai at Ansley Square.

Lawlertratana lived and worked in southern France while attending culinary school before immigrating to the United States and will blend her classical culinary training together with Thai flavors and ingredients for the dishes at Snap Thai Fish House. This includes an entire section dedicated to lobster in dishes like a Thai lobster roll, lobster pad Thai, and a lobster burger made with lobster and wagyu brisket topped with Thai slaw and smoked Thai barbecue honey sauce. Lawlertratana also plans to offer a selection of special dishes each week, such as Thai crab cakes, braised beef short rib atop Thai yellow curry, and a whole crispy snapper.

Look for champagne, rose, and sparkling wines by the glass and bottle to pair with the seafood-heavy menu, as well as cocktails using Thai ingredients from Adjanasuknart (a former general manager at Nan Thai Fine Dining) and a substantial Scotch and whiskey list.

The trio tapped Bangkok resident and designer Sasikan Supradith Na Ayuthaya to create an elegant and sophisticated space set off by black and gold tones and decor shipped from Thailand. The indoor-outdoor bar leads to a spacious patio in front of the restaurant.

Snap Thai Fish House will offer dinner daily and weekday lunch service to start, with a weekday happy hour and weekend brunch beginning in April.
