SMUD to host electronic waste recycling event on May 22

The Sacramento Municipal Utility District, or SMUD, will host an electronic waste recycling event on May 22.

The event, in partnership with Cal Expo, iHeart Media and KCRA 3, will benefit the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps. SRCC is Sacramento's largest education workforce training program for young adults.

Guests can drop off their e-waste through Cal Expo's Main Gate loop from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Consumer Electronics

According to event details, batteries must be removed from all electronics except cellphones. SRCC has the right not to take batteries at the end of the event.
