In One Piece, the reveal of Gear 5th is the most contentious revelation in the series. Not only was the Gum-Gum Fruit said to be a Zoan instead of a Paramecia, but its true power was wackier than anything imaginable. Luffy's Gear 5th mode boasts having the most freedom out of every other ability in the world.

While it's revered as the only fruit limited to the user's imagination, this is arguable. Several Devil Fruits can potentially be more dangerous than Luffy's Nika-Nika Fruit if utilized to their full potential. From potentially lifting entire islands to creating nuclear weapons, these Devil Fruits are more dangerous depending on how one uses them.

Vander Decken IX exemplifies an incompetent Devil Fruit user with a dangerous ability. A creepy fish-man obsessed with marrying the princess of Fish-man Island, Decken eventually decided to destroy the island using his Devil Fruit. The Mark-Mark Fruit allows Decken to send anything toward a target that his hands touch.

With this fruit, Decken sent a massive ship flying toward the island casually. Not only can he send anything flying regardless of size, but it will also track down his target forever until it lands. Theoretically, he can move entire islands or people if he trained his fruit.

Bartholomew Kuma is one of the few people who never lost to Luffy and his crew in battle. Using the Paw-Paw Fruit, Kuma dominated the Straw Hat Pirates flying on two separate occasions. His Paw-Paw Fruit allows him to deflect or repel whatever comes in contact with his paw pads. People touched by his pads will be sent flying across the sea for three days and nights.

Kuma's pads are absolute, with them being able to repel concepts like fatigue and pain. If pushed to its zenith, the pads would allow him to repel concepts like death.

Mont D'or's is an obscure character from Big Mom's crew, and his Book-Book Fruit went underutilized in the series. This fruit allowed D'or to manipulate books. The most dangerous application of the fruit is his ability to trap people in the world of whichever book he chooses. He usually captured his victims and held them in a book's setting for eternity, where they would never age.

Surprisingly, Mont D'or never used his ability to release the legendary beasts captured within them. It should also be possible to bring the fictional setting of a book into reality. With such an ability, the user could summon entire realms of the most horrific places in fiction.

For such a delicate girl, Baby 5 has a deadly Devil Fruit. Baby 5's Arms-Arms Fruit power allows her to transform her body parts into weapons. From blades to missiles, she's a versatile user who hasn't fully realized what she can do. Paired with the fact that she takes no damage from her attacks, her potential is monstrous.

With her power, Baby 5 can turn into weapons of mass destruction that could devastate entire islands. She is exceptionally skilled with her Devil Fruit. However, if she had the personality of her former boss, she would be the deadliest woman in One Piece.

Although not relevant in the main story, Shiki played a major part in Gol D. Roger's age of piracy. Said to be one of Roger's deadliest enemies, Shiki nearly defeated him until a freak storm saved Roger's life. His Devil Fruit, the Float-Float fruit, pushed Luffy to his limit. The Float-Float Fruit allows the user to manipulate the gravity of any inanimate object.

Through controlling an object's centricity, Shiki was able to lift islands into the sky. Befitting his moniker of the "Sky Pirate," Shiki would fight using aerial combat by manipulating the centricity of his legs. Unlike Gear 5th, Shiki can control a battlefield as long as he wants to.

As Whitebeard's strongest commander before his death, Marco's power is praised by the Navy Admirals. Owner of the Mythcial-Zoan Phoenix Fruit, Marco's abilities mirror that of an actual Phoenix. Attacks that would normally be fatal for anyone else heal instantly for Marco. His unique flames also heal whoever he covers with them.

If Marco's fruit follows the myths of the Phoenix fully, likely, he is immortal. The Phoenix from Greek Mythology is an immortal bird who resurrects from ashes. This would mean Marco can't die unless someone nullifies his Devil Fruit powers.

No one takes Foxy seriously in the One Piece fan base. His power, on the other hand, is a different story. Foxy's Slow-Slow Fruit allows him to slow down anything his beam touches for 30 seconds. This ability made Foxy a formidable fighter, despite him being a coward. If he chose to amplify his power, it could be one of the most powerful fruits around.

Theoretically, if Foxy were to awaken his powers, he could stop attacks completely. Regardless of how powerful his foe is, if he could halt them, he could go undefeated.

One could argue that Jewelry Bonney's fruit is the most dangerous compared to the rest of the Worst Generation Pirates. Her unnamed Devil Fruit allows her to age whatever or whoever she touches. Bonney increases and decreases her age, as well as other people. Compared to the other pirates in her generation, she can end battles with one move.

If this is the truth behind her power, Bonney's ability to age is limitless. She can potentially increase the age of incoming attacks to prevent them from reaching her or reverse the age of attacks to erase them from existence.

With Big Mom being a Yonko, she was powerful enough without her Devil Fruit. Possessing absurd physical strength, she could deal with Yonko Commanders without using her Soul-Soul Fruit powers. As the name suggests, the Soul-Soul Fruit allowed Big Mom to manipulate souls. She used this power to place souls into inanimate objects to become her minions. However, the applications of her fruit were too inside the box.

Had Big Mom used her powers differently, Luffy and his crew would have stood no chance. Her power should have been able to control the island of Onigashima by placing a massive soul into it. She could potentially control the sea itself by placing a soul into it, too.

Law's Op-Op Fruit has the most versatility among all other fruits in the series. His Devil Fruit allows him to surgically operate any spherical space that he creates. Before it was awakened, the Op-Op Fruit could rearrange limbs, damage internal organs, teleport others, and dissect others. The only downside to his power is the stamina drain that the user suffers from.

The ultimate ability of this fruit is the chance to grant someone eternal life. While Luffy can ignore the laws of physics, Law's fruit can do everything else under the sun that Luffy would never be able to do.
