Aug 27, 2023ONTARIO, Calif. — Khloe Thompson, a 15-year-old from Ontario, created PeachTree Pads, reusable menstrual pads that are good for both the body and the environment.
The idea came to her after her mother fell ill from using single-use tampons. Khloe wanted to create a better alternative, one that was accessible to all women, regardless of income or housing status.
"Period poverty is a real thing out there," said Thompson. "Pads aren't that accessible, and then when they're not that accessible, you know, girls don't end up going to school. I want to make sure that they have products like this."
Thompson is also the philanthropist behind Khloe Kares, a nonprofit dedicated to serving homeless people.
